Meet Mary
I’m Mary, a certified Special Education teacher and former MTSS Reading Interventionist with 11 years of experience in public education. I completed my Undergraduate studies at the University of Saint Joseph (formerly St. Joseph College) with a bachelors in Special Education and cross endorsement in Elementary Education. I completed my masters in Curriculum and Instruction specifically in Reading Education from University of Connecticut. I began my career as a Special Educator where I was trained in the Science of Reading approach to teaching structured literacy. I then taught as MTSS Reading Interventionist, where I continued my passion of delivering differentiated instruction in students’ specific areas of need.
My hope is to branch out to help families of children with struggling (or enriching) readers- whether homeschooling, private schooling, or participating in traditional public school- with more intensive and meaningful reading instruction. Through data collection, targeted goal setting and prescriptive lesson planning, I hope to help your child succeed in reading and feel confident in their abilities!
I am currently in the process of completing her Orton Gillingham Associate Level practicum.
Meet Amanda
I’m Amanda a certified school psychologist with seven years of experience supporting children, families, and school communities. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies from the University of Connecticut, followed by my Master’s degree and Sixth-Year Certificate in School Psychology from the University of Hartford.
For the past seven years, I worked in public schools supporting students with a wide range of learning, developmental, behavioral, and social-emotional needs. My work has always centered on understanding the whole child—recognizing individual strengths while identifying areas where additional support can help each child thrive.
Sprouted Minds Education Services was founded with the goal of providing thoughtful, individualized educational services that help families better understand how their children learn and grow. I believe every child deserves to be understood beyond a test score or diagnosis, and that a meaningful evaluation should provide practical information that families and educators can use to support a child’s success.
Through psychoeducational evaluations, consultation, and educational support, my goal is to provide families with clarity, compassionate guidance, and actionable recommendations. I strive to make the evaluation process collaborative, comfortable, and individualized, while thoughtfully considering each child’s unique strengths, needs, and learning profile.
